Escudo de verde, castelo de prata lavrado de negro, aberto e iluminado de vermelho, entre uma palma de ouro e uma tenaz de prata, passadas em aspa, em chefe e duas espigas de trigo de ouro, realçadas de negro, com os pés passados em aspa, em ponta. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ MANSORES - AROUCA “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 1, 2000.
The castle represents the archaeological findings in the area, which includes the possibility of a castle haveing been in the area. The pliers and the palm leaf are symbols of St. Christina, the local patron saint. The base shows thwo wheat ears as a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality.
