Official blazon
I fält av silver den högra hälften av en blå örn med röd beväring mellan två höga, med spetsiga huvar försedda röda torn.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1584 and again in 1949. The Eagle is a variation of the one on the Arms of the Province of Värmland, of which Karlstad is the main City. The Towers symbolises City status.
