Origin/meaning
As common in US episcopal heraldry, the arms show the arms of the diocese impaled with the personal arms of the bishop.
The green field with three cinquefoils on a gold chevron are the arms of a Curley family of Ireland and are used here to symbolise the last name of the bishop.
The motto : Quis ut Deus? which means "Who is like unto God?" is Latin for the Hebrew Mi-cha-el, the name of St. Michael the Archangel, the baptismal patron of the Archbishop.
