425TH AIR BASE SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted as 425 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 20 September 1942. Activated on 1 October 1942. Disbanded on 10 April 1944. Reconstituted, and consolidated (1 November 1994) with the 7241 Support Squadron, which was designated, and activated, on 1 July 1970. Redesignated as: 7241 Air Base Squadron on 1 January 1973; 7241 Air Base Group on 1 August 1980; 741 Air Base Squadron on 15 June 1993; 425 Air Base Squadron on 1 November 1994; 425 Air Base Group on 3 October 2005; 425 Air Base Squadron on 1 July 2009.
