History: Constituted as 940 Civil Engineering Flight on 19 June 1969. Activated in the Reserve on 25 October 1969. Redesignated as: 940 Civil Engineering Squadron on 15 November 1978; 940 Civil Engineer Squadron on 1 March 1994; 940 Civil Engineer Flight on 15 January 2013; 940 Civil Engineer Squadron on 29 April 2016.
