German | In Gold auf grünem Dreiberg am rechten Schildrand aufsteigend ein schwarzer Eber. |

Origin/meaning
The arms are canting, a boar (Eber) on a mountain (Berg). The arms first appear in the 15th century as (posthumous) arms of the founders, in 934, of the local abbey, the counts of Sempt-Ebersberg. The arms of the founders were also used by the abbey and later also by the city. The abbey existed until 1808, as municipal arms the arms appear around 1830.
