Wappen von Lichtenhain/Bergbahn/Arms (crest) of Lichtenhain/Bergbahn
Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 30, 1994.

The upper half shows the lion of the Counts of Schwarzburg, who ruled the area until 1918. The flaming heart is taken from the seal of the village from 1859, but the use is probably older. The heart was a religious symbol, but is now described as a symbol for the love of the villagers for their region. The flower of the Arnika montana symbolises the former practice of collecting and cultivating medicinal plants in the region.
