Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 13, 1996.
The feur-de-lys symbolises the local patron saint, Our Lady of Patrocínio. The two small goups of trees (matas) are a canting element. The water mill wheel symbolises the (former) watermills in the municipality.
