In Blau auf goldenem Schildfuß ein schreitendes goldenes Pferd mit schwarzer Mähne, Hufen und Schweif.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 19, 1996.

The horse is derived from the old village seal, which was also used as arms for quite some time. As no colours were used, the colours of the Duchy of Braunschweig, to which the village belonged in medieval times, were chosen.
