Official blazon
Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02cm) in height overall consisting of an arch supported by three pillars all white each of the outer pillars entwined with a gold serpent and all three surmounted by a scarlet Greek cross all above a maroon scroll, the ends terminating behind the horizontal arms of the cross and inscribed "DIGNITY DEDICATION HONOR" in gold letters.
Origin/meaning
The Cross and Serpents symbolise the Medical role of the Center. The arch and pillars are from the State Seal of Georgia, alluding to the location of the Center.
The Design was approved on Novemebr 19, 1970.
