MERZALBEN
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Südwestpfalz
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Rodalben
German | Von Blau und Gold geteilt, oben ein wachsender goldbewehrter silberner Greif, einen kleinen goldenen Schild mit einem roten Schrägwellenbalken haltend, unten auf grünem Hügel eine rote Burg.
Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on May 28, 1956. The village historically belonged to the Amt Gräfenstein of the Duchy of Baden. The arms thus show the arms of Baden held by a griffin. The base shows the local Gräfenstein castle (later Merzalben castle). Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ? © 1995-2025, Heraldry of the World, Ralf Hartemink Literature : Debus, 1988 |
