Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: An embroidered green vertical rectangle 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 inches (5.08 cm) in width arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) golden yellow border, a golden yellow and black Yellow Jacket with white and golden yellow wings facing right, above inscribed “FRANKLIN” and below “YELLOW” arranged in a straight line over “JACKETS” arranged convexly in golden yellow letters.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall blazoned: Honeycombed Vert, abased a fess wavey Argent, in base Or, suppressed by a stylized Yellow Jacket sinister bendwise of the last. Attached below, a Green scroll inscribed “YELLOW JACKETS” in base metal letters flanked by two Transparent Green asparagus tips.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Green, yellow, and white are the school colors. The Yellow Jacket is the school mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Green, gold, and white are the school colors. The Yellow Jacket is the school mascot. The honeycomb motif emphasizes the yellow jackets. The wavey fess symbolizes the Port of Stockton on the San Joaquin River. The asparagus tips are a reference to the famous Asparagus Festival held in Stockton annually.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia ans Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved 26 March 2007.
