Origin/meaning

The silver step-gable is the main charge in the arms and is based on the shape of the local church tower. On the silver field a small chapel is shown, which symbolises the Mariahilf chapel, a place of pilgimage for the region. The building dates from 1762, but before that there was already a famous chapel. The blue wavy bar represents the Enz river, on which the village is situated.

In the upper part two items are shown, an oak leaf for the forests in the area as well as the name of the village (Weiler means cleared forest), as well as a prehistoric beaker or jar. This jar, with a typical decoration, was found in a prehistoric grave in the area, symbolising the fact that the region has been settled for a very long time.
