505th Lines of Communication District, Indian Army

History:505th L.o.C. District was formed at Chittagong in March 1945. It Supported the 14th Army in the Advance to expell the Japanese form Burma, and the HQ was in May 1945 moved to Meiktila in Burma.

Origin/meaning
The Roman numeral XIV (14) symbolises the 14th Army which the Unit Supported. The arms holding the Ring symbolises the Support function, they also form the Numeral VOV or 505.
