Über Schildfuß mit den bayerischen Rauten in Rot ein silbernes Haus mit Treppengiebel und zwei seitlichen Zinnentürmen; Schildhalter: ein von vorne gesehener wachsender silberner Engel.

Origin/meaning

The arms probably date from the late 15^th century, as Geisenhausen received town rights in 1453. The base shows the diamonds of the Dukes of Bayern. The upper part shows a canting house (Haus), but looks more like a castle. During the centuries the shape and size of the house has changed considerably. The present arms were granted on October 10, 1953 and are based on the oldest seal.
