Shield: Per Fess dancetté Azure and Buff, fesswise in chief two sprigs of grapevine each bearing a leaf pendant Argent.

Crest: From a wreath Buff and Azure, a dromedary statant haltered, collared and bearing supplies. Proper, pendant there from a Moorish shield bendwise sinister blazoned: Per chevron Azure and Buff, all environed by a wreath of two palm trees Proper.

Motto: Strength - Support.

Origin/meaning

Shield: Buff is used with blue for the Quartermaster Corps. The two grape leaves refer to the areas where the unit served in World War II -- the Rhineland and Northern France. The dancetté partition line represents the mountainous terrain of Korea where the organization served during the War. The peaks are three in number in reference to the Battalion's three unit awards for action in Korea. Crest: The dromedary symbolises desert support and resupply to the frontline troops. The cargo and shield symbolises the unit's former designations as a Quartermaster Battalion and as a Supply and Service Battalion. The Palm tree denote the unit's participation in Southwest Asia Desert Shield/Storm campaigns.

Approved (Shield) originally authorized 12 July 1963 for the 13th Quartermaster Battalion, redesignated on 9 August 1966 for the 13th Supply and Service Battalion. Redesignated for the 13th Support Battalion effective 16 October 1994.
