Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8< inches (2.86 cm) in height overall
consisting of a gold Gothic arch, the opening divided vertically green and scarlet and bearing throughout a gold fleur-de-lis, surmounted at center by a black disc behind
a pair of gold scales with a wavy beam level, and extending beyond disc and the scale pans terminating at base of arch, the arch inscribed at top "FIRST IN PEACE AND WAR" in black letters.

Origin/meaning

Greeen and Yellow are the colours of the Military Police. The Gothic arch symbolises the Ardennes-Alsace, Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns during World War II. Red and green refer to the
French Croiz de Guerre for action along the Moselle River, represented by the wavy beam. The Fleur-de-lis symbolises the Normady and Northern France campaigns. The Black disc and the Red and Yellow
colours of the Artillery, symbolises the former designation as Artillery. The Coat of Arms was approved on 10 May 2006.
