19TH AVIATION BATTALION, US ARMY

Coat of arms (crest) of the 19th Aviation Battalion, US Army

Official blazon

Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a blue sky composed of three cloud shapes enclosing a silver chevron the arms tapered to points and supported by two roundels side by side each divided saltirewise with orange vertically and blue horizontally, the colors separated by two silver four-bladed rotors; supporting the above a silver scroll bearing the motto “MOBILITAS” in blue letters.

Origin/meaning

Blue and orange are the colors of the Aviation Branch. The tapered silver chevron above represents the fixed wing and the two discs the rotary wing aircraft, both types being employed by the 19th Aviation Battalion in carrying out their mission. The blue area above refers to the aviation element of sky and clouds.

The Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 13 September 1966. The Battalion was never approved a Coat of Arms.
