Origin/meaning
The Arm and wrench alludes to the Maintenance origin of the Battalion. The Sword symbolises the Military role. The Eagle symbolises service in Ardennerna-Alsace and Germany during World War II. The Wavy ribbon symbolises the Rhineland. The Fleur-de-lis indicates service in normandy and Northern France during World War II. The Three Sword indicates war participation in Vietnam, Southwest Asia and Iraq.
The Coat of Arms was approved for the 185th Ordnance Heavy Maintenance Battalion on 4 February 1943. It was rescinded on 7 January 1955. Reinstated for the 209th Support Battalion on 30 April 2012.
