301ST SECURITY FORCES SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Designated as Squadron B, 301 Airdrome Group on 15 Oct 1947. Organized on 5 Nov 1947. Discontinued on 1 Aug 1948. Consolidated (12 Oct 1984) with the 301 Air Police Squadron, Bombardment, Medium, which was constituted on 28 May 1948. Activated on 1 Aug 1948. Redesignated as 301 Air Police Squadron on 16 Mar 1950. Inactivated on 16 Jun 1952. Redesignated as 301 Combat Defense Squadron, and activated, on 19 Apr 1965. Organized on 1 Jul 1965. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 2 Oct 1966. Redesignated as 301 Security Police Squadron on 18 May 1971. Activated on 1 Jul 1971. Inactivated on 30 Sep 1979. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Oct 1992. Redesignated as 301 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997.
