479TH TRAINING SUPPORT SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE
History: Constituted as 479 School Squadron, and activated, on 1 August 1941. Redesignated as: 479 School Squadron (Special) on 29 December 1941; 479 Flexible Gunnery Training Squadron on 15 October 1942. Disbanded on 30 April 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 479 Training Support Squadron on 13 June 2001. Activated on 9 July 2001. Redesignated as 479 Operations Support Squadron on 15 July 2003. Inactivated on 30 Sep 2007. Activated on 2 October 2009.
