Origin/meaning

Blue and Red is the colours of the Adjutant General's Corps. The quills symbolises the clerical duties. The Eagle alludes to the Battalion's Motto High above the rest. The ancient lamp symbolises leadership. The Crest symbolises participation in the Korean War (indicated by the Torii Gate) and in World War II (the Sword).
