The Coat of Arms was originally approved for the 508th Airborne Infantry Regiment on 4 Sep 1951. It was amended to correct the wording of the blazonry and description on 26 Nov 1951. The coat of arms was redesignated for the 508th Infantry on 3 Dec 1962. On 23 Sep 1966 a crest was added to the coat of arms. | |||
