History:The 514 Communications Squadron (constituted 514 Communications Squadron, Troop Carrier, Medium, on 10 May 1949; activated in the Reserve on 26 June 1949; redesignated 514 Communications Squadron on 10 March 1950; ordered to Active Service on 1 May 1951; relieved from Active Duty on 26 November 1952; inactivated on 1 February 1953; activated in the Reserve on 1 April 1953; inactivated on 14 April 1949) and the 514 Operations Squadron (constituted on 5 December 1958; activated in the Reserve on 14 April 1959; discontinued, and inactivated, on 17 January 1963) consolidated (1 February 1987) with the 514 Information Systems Squadron (constituted 514 Communications Flight on 18 January 1976; activated in the Reserve on 1 July 1976; redesignated 514 Information Systems Squadron on 10 April 1985). Redesignated:514 Communications Squadron on 1 February 1987; 514 Communications Flight on 1 August 1992; 514 Communications Squadron on 15 March 1995.
