THe Column also signyfy service in Rome, Italy during World War II. The gold laurel wreath in the Crest is indicative of high ideals, achivement and excellence. The Scimitar and Samurai Sword denotes service in Southwest Asia and in Japan. The Scroll symbolises the administrative mission.
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was both approved on 9 February 1995.
