Crest: Ona wreath of the colors Argent and Tenné a sword bendwise sinister Proper hilted Or surmounting in bend a lightning flash of the second, all in fornt of a section o bamboo palewise buff leaved of thirteen Vert

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: a silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in height overall, consiting of a shield blazoned: Per bend Tenné and Azure , abend wavy double cottised potent counter-potent Argent. Attached below the shield a silver scroll inscribed "COMMAND AND CONTROL" in black letters.

Origin/meaning

Orange and White are the colours of Signal Units. The wavy bend symbolise the River Rhine and campaigns in Central Europe. The colour blue and the potent-counter-potent bands is from the Arms of Ardennes. The Bandes also symbolises Telegraph Poles and thus symbolise the Signal role. The Crest symbolises service in Vietnam in support of the I Field Force, Vietnam.

The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 21 December 1962.
