Shield: Buff, nine billets chevronwise Azure above a dragon's head issuant from base Gules.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Buff, nine billets chevronwise Azure above a dragon's head issuant from base Gules. Attached below the shield a Blue scroll doubled and inscribed "DRAGON SUPPORT" in Gold.

Origin/meaning

Buff and Red are the colours used by Support Units. The Billets are placed chevronwise symboliseing support, their Blue Colour signify the Aviation Support Mission. The Dragon reflects the Motto of the Battalion.

The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was both approved on 12 July 1996.
