Redesignated as 824 Security Police Squadron on 15 May 1967. Inactivated on 30 Sep 1974. Redesignated as 824 Security Forces Squadron on 15 Sep 2001. Activated on 14 Nov 2001. Redesignated as 824 Base Defense Squadron on 30 Sep 2010.
