93RD INFANTRY DIVISION BLUE HAT DIVISION, US ARMY

History: Activated 23 February 1942, organized 15 May 1942 at Fort Huachuca (Arizona). Deactivated 3 February 1946 at Camp Stoneman (California). Except for Generals and Field Grade Officers the Division consisted entierly of Afro-American personnel.

Origin/meaning

The French Adrian Helmet alludes to the four Infantry Regiments of the WW1 93rd Division (not totally formed), that saw service with the French Army in 1917-1918.
