Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a shield shaped embroidered device arched at the top, blazoned: “Per bend treble arched and removed Or and Gules in chief, on water of the second, a ship of two masts in full sail to sinister Yellow, the rigging with two pennants floatant to dexter and one from the bow sprit floatant to sinister all Gules”, all within a diminished bordure of the last. Attached above the shield and separated by a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Garnet border, a Yellow arched scroll inscribed on two lines "BELLFLOWER HIGH SCHOOL” in Garnet letters. All within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Garnet border with the overall dimensions of 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: Overall consisting of a buccaneer with black earring on the right ear and eye patch over the right eye, wearing a maroon bandana and peering out of maroon flames, all below a black scroll inscribed "BUCCANEERS" in gold letters.
Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Maroon and Gold are the School Colors. The Frigate Ship alludes the School’s Motto and is representational of the Cadet’s dedication to support the School, Community and Country.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: Maroon and Gold are the School Colors. The Buccaneer alludes to the School Mascot and the Courage that sustains the Cadets’ involvement in School, Community and Country.
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved 28 May 2003.
