As abbot his arms quarter the arms of Einsiedeln Abbey (crows) with his personal arms. The supporter in the aarms as abbot is St. Benno, his patron saint.
 
As cardinal he used only his personal arms, however, with the field colour purple, instead of gold as abbot.
