Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a black disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border fimbriated with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) yellow border, the overall diameter 3 inches (7.62 cm), a tiger’s face affronté yellow detailed white and black within a circular inscription “CANON CITY” above and “HIGH SCHOOL” below in yellow letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: On a Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Sable, charged in chief, dexter ombre de soleil and in sinister a lyre; in base an open book to dexter and in sinister a mountain range of three peaks, Tenné. Attached below the shield a Black scroll inscribed “CANON CITY H.S.” in Gold letters.
Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 25 July 1989.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 21 July 1950. It was amended 26 June 2001 to correct the orange chip number.
