Official blazon
English Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a black lozenge 2 inches (5.08cm) in width and 3 inches (7.62cm) in height with rounded corners, a yellow torch surmounted by a white open book, gilded yellow with a red cover, emitting yellow rays to either side.

Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure (Oriental blue) issuant in chief a demi-sun radiant to base Or and in chief overall a dove, wings outstretched Argent, beak to base holding a sprig of olive Vert above an open book of the second. Attached below the shield a gold scroll inscribed "THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM."

Device. Description: On a piscium (a pointed oval) a shield blazoned: Blue issuant in chief a demi-sun radiant to base Or and in chief a dove overall descending Argent, beak to base holding a spring of olive Vert and between it's tail and the sun's rays the numerals "1775" yellow above an open book Proper. Above the shield, on a white ribbon scroll edged yellow and showing a red reverse side inscribed "The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom," in black Old English letters. Around the oval is the legend "The Chaplain School of the United States Army" in black uncial gothic letters.
