District : Hartberg-Fürstenfeld (until 2015 Hartberg)
Incorporated into: 2015 Kaindorf

Wappen von Dienersdorf

Official blazon

Von Silber und Rot zweimal gespalten und einmal geteilt, die Spalten mit brennenden Astpfählen in wechselnden Farben belegt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 7, 1993.

The arms of Dienersdorf are based on those of a family of local landowners, the Pankl family.

The burning boughs or branches are a reference to the first known lord of this region, Diethbrant von Safen (12th century). In popular etymology, his name is associated with fire ("Brand").
