Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Description: On a blue shield with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, a yellow demi-torch issuing from base bearing a white warrior figure detailed blue clothed in a red loin cloth, gold head and wrist bands grasping in his left upraised arm a white sword. Attached above the shield a red scroll with 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border inscribed “GANESHA” in white letters.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: Description: A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inch (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a vertical rectangle divided diagonally from upper left to lower right silver over blue bearing a golden warrior figure grasping a silver sword bendwise in an upraised hand; all within a red scroll inscribed “GANESHA” at top and “GIANTS” at bottom in silver letters.
Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Red, white, and blue are the school colors. Yellow stands for excellence. The torch of knowledge reflects the cadets’ academic training. The warrior figure personifies the school mascot, a giant, and typifies the cadets’ commitment to school, community and country.
