Canton : Glarus
Incorporated into : 2004 Luchsingen (2011 Glarus-Süd)

Wappen von Hätzingen/Arms (crest) of Hätzingen
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on April 18, 1939.

The arms show a warrior of the Allaman tribe. The meaning hereof is that the name Hätzingen may have been derived from a meaning "place of Hazzo", Hazzo being a Allaman name. The Allamans were a Germanic tribe living in present Switzerland in late Roman times.
