Origin/meaning

The arms were approved by the municipal council on the December 17 1998. They were granted on June 21, 1999. The ceremonial handover of the arms by the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies happened on July 12 1999.

The author of the design is Miroslav Pavlů. Historical seals of Hrobice from the 18th and 19th centuries depict an unspecified tree. The author of the arms thus chose to transfer this tree into the arms and make it a plum tree as plums are common in the municipality's area. The tree "flows" into a bow and arrow in the base of the shield, referencing the arms of the Nekešové z Landeku (in a blue shield a silver centaur holding drawn golden bow). In chief are three stars, taken from the arms of the Šternberk family. Both owned Hrobice in the past.
