JÄRVAMAA

Arms (crest) of Järvamaa

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 5, 1937.

The arms show the castle of Livonian Order in Paide (formerly Weissenstein, meaning white-stone). The silver bars symbolise lakes ('järv' in Estonian).
