Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a yellow vertical rectangle arched at top and bottom, 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, a tiger’s head facing the viewer yellow, black and white with a growling facial expression. Arched above the tiger’s head, a black scroll with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed “JAMES” in yellow letters. Arched below the tiger’s head, a black scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed “KENAN” in yellow letters.

Origin/meaning

Black and gold are the school colors. The tiger is the school mascot and represents fierceness and valor. The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 19 March 2003.
