I av grönt och guld kluvet fält ett treberg av motsatta tinkturer och däröver i dexter fält två korslagda facklor av guld och i sinister fält en grön gran.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on Febuary 11, 1944. The Tripplemount indicates the hilly character of the Area. The Torches symbolises the Mining. The Fir symbolises the Parish of Grangärde,
from which Ludvika was separated.
