English Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a buff disc edged with an 1/8 inch (.32 cm) dark blue border, the overall diameter 3 inches (7.62 cm), the head of a husky, three-quarter view, gold and dark blue between two arched inscriptions, “NORTHWEST” above and “SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL” below in scarlet letters.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A gold base metal and enamel insignia 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield divided diagonally white and blue, the white charged with an American bison and the blue with a flaming torch, both gold. Attached above the shield is a white scroll inscribed “ROTC” and below is another scroll inscribed “OMAHA HIGH SCHOOLS,” both inscriptions in gold letters.

Origin/meaning

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved 26 April 1983. The Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved 9 May 1955 for all Omaha, Nebraska, Public High Schools.
