Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on October 18, 1958, but not formally granted. The Lokträden is from a preserved one from the Village of Skäran.
The Horses' Heads symbolises the Horse Breeding of the Area. The Colours Argent and Azure is from the arms of the Province of Västerbotten.
