OBERPERFUSS

State : Tirol
District : Innsbruck-Land

Wappen von Oberperfuss/Arms (crest) of Oberperfuss
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 13, 1972.

The arms show a globe, which is taken as a symbol for Peter Anich. Anich was a famous globe-maker, both of the earth as the stars, hence the divided globe. He also made sundials and a large map of Tirol.
