Wappen von Saalfelden

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 3, 1928.

The arms show a hill with three poplar (?) trees. The meaning of the arms is not known. The arms appear for the first time in a roll of arms in 1620 and may have been granted in 1516 when the town got market rights.
