Origin/meaning

The six plough irons symbolise the six municipalities in the Samtgemeinde and at the same time are a symbol of agriculture. The wavy bar symbolises the Aue river. The bear claw is derived from the arms of the Counts of Hoya, who ruled the area for a long time.
