STRASSWALCHEN

State : Salzburg
District : Salzburg-Umgebung

Strasswa.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on March 3, 1464 and again August 22, 1927.

The arms show a street (Strasse) with horseshoes. The arms indicate that the village was on the main road from Salzburg to the North, which spurred its development. The arms were initially granted by Burkart, Archbishop of Salzburg in 1464.
