Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 14, 1944. The arms is based on the Parish Seal. This in turn alludes to the Crown on the Roof of the Svärdsjö Church.
In conjunction with the Vase, symbolises the help given by the Inhabitants of Svärdsjö to the future King of Sweden Gustav Eriksson (Vasa) during his flight through Dalarana Province.
