THURN

State : Tirol
District : Lienz

Wappen von Thurn

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 12, 1956.

The tower (Turm) is a canting element and also symbolises the former Thurm castle. The book and three balls are symbols of St. Nicholas, the local patron saint. The wheat-ears symbolise the agricultural character of the municipality.
