The arms were granted in 1965 and show in the upper part a tool, known as a Winde and used as a canting symbol in the local seals since 1596. The lower half shows the arms of the Lords of [[Wernau]], Lords of Unterbohingen. The latter was incorporated into Wendlingen am Neckar in 1940.
