Origin/meaning
Oriental blue is the primary color associated with Military Intelligence. Gold is emblematic of excellence and achievement. The chevron, a symbol of strength and support, suggests a mountain peak and connotes the unit's affiliation with the 10th Mountain Division. The griffins, ever vigilant and alert, appear above the mountain peak, epitomizing the unit's motto and mission. The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was borh approved on 12 September 1988.
